Each Power Distribution Unit (PDU) is supported by an Uninterruptible Power Supply system (UPS). The UPS system receives power from either the commercial power utility or a standby generator. Hypernode’s Co-Location offers singular or 1 + 1 redundant PDU power rails. Each power rail is separated through to the mains bus. Additionally, Hypernode alternate routes to the WDX datacentre via private leased line, to provide exceptional redundancy in connectivity paths.
The PDUs are mounted and connected before you arrive to ensure operation and allow a simple process of plugging in when ready to power up. The PDUs contain a mixture of C13 and C19 type power connections which will cater for the majority of IT equipment in use today.
This connectivity is multi-pathed via separate carriers and separate fibre entry points into the Equinix facility. Additionally, Hypernode alternate routes to the WDX datacentre via private leased line, to provide exceptional redundancy in connectivity paths. Hypernode also operates a peering service via China Telecom to provide low-latency connectivity to mainland China based IP addresses. Other peering services and dedicated connectivity are available on request. The Hypernode team can discuss and arrange multiple options for different carriers to provide direct, dedicated fibre connectivity into a co-located space.
These layer 2 services provide low-latency connectivity and VLAN Trunking services to customers. Cross-connect services to other peering networks, datacentres or carriers can be implemented at the EQX-SYD2 site and also trunked to WDX.
Entry is granted to approved visitors via photo identification and biometric access. Visitor or temporary access must be pre-arranged or escorted and requires photo identification. Access into Hypernode’s private cage requires approval from Hypernode and an arrangement with Equinix security staff.
We are responsible for the protection of Hypernode information assets as well as those of our customers. Information security is also at the core of our product offering to customers and detail for each area may be found in that area’s section. Details of Hypernode’s Information Security Policy are in the Hypernode Security Policy document.
